Music and choirs

Choirs were my first artistic and musical experience, and I cannot remember a time in my childhood that was not framed and defined by singing. As an adult, most of my choir experience has been through church, although Sara and I also sing in other local choirs.

One constant has been singing with the choir at St. Mary’s Church, Thame, including a traditional Lessons & Carols service in Advent. I help direct the choir and have written two choral pieces for them: An Angelic Noël and On Christmas Night.

I am a tenor in the Thame Chamber Choir, and wrote a special a cappella arrangement of On Christmas Night for their December 2022 concert.

Although voice is my primary instrument, I also play guitar, piano, viola, and a variety of medieval and renaissance instruments.
